Stainless Steel Rice Cooker
No matter how trends change, stainless steel always seems to remain in style, fitting into to any kitchen design, modern, traditional or commercial. It's a safe bet that a stainless steel rice cooker won't look out of place in your own kitchen or if you are buying it as a gift, in the kitchen of whoever it's intended for.
Brands with stainless steel rice cooker models include Zojirushi, Krups, Faberware, Rival, Aroma and Sanyo. Most of these models are of 10 cup and up size and of the traditional electric rice cooker design suitable for white rice, that turns to a warm setting automatically when the rice is cooked. Depending on the model they include various feature to make life easier in the kitchen such as non stick pans, locking lids, retractable leads and steamer trays.
An exception to this is the Sanyo stainless steel rice cooker model. It's capacity is 3.5 cups of uncooked rice and it is fuzzy logic controlled. The smaller size is better suited to smaller families and the fuzzy logic control turns out perfect brown, rinse free and mixed rice as well as white at anytime of the day or night that you want it by using its timer.
In all the above models the "stainless steel" refers to the outside casing of the rice cooker. There is one model on the market, the Miracle stainless steel rice cooker, where stainless refers to the actual rice bowl.
