SHARP SHOWCASES NEW COMMERCIAL RICE COOKER
Easy-to-use Product Quickly Cooks All Types of Rice for High-Volume Food Services
To help meet the growing demand for perfectly cooked rice in diverse food service operations, Sharp Electronics Corporation is showcasing a new Commercial Rice Cooker at the 2003 Western Food Service and Hospitality Expo. Consumption of rice in the United States has increased in the last 20 years according to the USA Rice Federation, and Sharp has created a top of the line product to help restaurants meet consumer demand.
“Rice has taken center stage at meal time since many menu items, such as paella and sushi, use rice as the main ingredient,” said Joy Daniel, Associate Director, Product Development, Sharp Electronics. “Our commercial cooker is designed for restaurants that want to expand their menu to include rice. It is easy to use, clean and has an extra large capacity to meet the demands of both large and small food service providers.”
Sharp’s commercial rice cooker (model KSH-777DW) has a 1700 watt cook cycle and can hold up to 360-ounces of cooked rice – enough for 120 3-ounce servings. It features a cool touch outside coating, cool touch handles, an easy to clean smooth inner bowl and the ability to cook different types of rice, including short, medium, long, long converted and brown rice.
Sharp’s commercial rice cooker offers the following additional features:
